Learn More About Web Design and the Psychology of Colour

Colour is very important in design, especially in designing for the internet. several outlets use websites as a sales tool and using the correct colours can lead to increased sales, although picking incorrect colours can mean that less users and fewer sales.

Finding out how colour works is really important to all website designers if they want to produce a successful website. This is because different colours affect people in distinct ways, and can influence moods & emotions. because of this your colour choice could make your users unhappy if you don't get it right.

Colour might also be used to guide users to a specific area of the page. For example, you may want a user to click the purchase button, so making it eyecatching is extremely pivitol.

Here's a guide to how assorted colours influence and affect humans:

Yellow can be linked with danger, hope, friendliness and finances. used sparingly, it can be used to draw attention to sections of a webpage.

Green is an effective colour to use to create a calm & relaxed website, it's associated with mother earth, envy, money and the organic.

Blue is linked to corporate, strength, water and harmony and the paler end of the blue spectrum might be used in designing websites to create a cool feel.

Yellow can be a fantastic colour to bring attention to certain bits of a web page. It can be associated with joy, happiness and summer.

Black is a really popular background colour as it shows off other colours very well. it's associated with feeling of sexiness, style, elegance and power.

White is really popular in design websites love interior design and graphic design. it can create a feeling of balance and space. it's associated with peace, simplicity, purity and light.

Grey can be linked to respect, humility, decay & boredom. it is used a lot to compose shiny gradients in website design to give a professional, innocent feel to a web-site.

Orange is related strongly to spirituality & healing. it is the colour that represents Buddhism & its a calming energy about it. it is a bold colour that is not as lively as yellow but not as deep as red.

Orange is linked to fire, enthusiasm, heat & danger. But it's also a truly friendly & youthful colour that's used frequently in websites targeted at youth culture.

Tradition, stability, depth & disposition are all linked to brown. But it's truly similar to green in that it's also linked with trees, nature & calm.

Its clear that colours do not just make a site look stunning, although they also have an effect on user experience & can dictate how successful a website can be. getting the colours right can create a website that users can identify & will make them more willing to use, explore & promote the website to pals. picking the wrong colours can accidentally put users off & have them switch off.
