Like green, brown is linked to mother earth, calm & relaxation. there is a trend to use wood textures as a background to give the feel of the environment and organics.

Grey is commonly used to create shiny gradient effects in web design. The colour maybe linked to sophistication, stability & boredom.

Orange is truly young however also warm, stimulating & friendly. used in websites, it is also welcoming.
