Six Elements of a Killer Squeeze Page

Squeeze page is one web page that uses to collect leads. Many internet marketers like to drive targeted traffic to a squeeze page to pre-sell their visitors with benefits of the product, software or service before they sent the customers to a landing page where actually selling will be done. Most often, internet marketers will collect the visitors contact information in exchange with some free gift such as free eBook, newsletter subscript, free report & etc.

If you want to drive the web traffic to your targeted money-generating page through squeeze page, the design and the content of the page on how you lead the visitors to perform certain actions such as fill-in a form to get a free report is an important factor in maximizing your opt-in conversion rate. A killer squeeze page that leads high opt-in conversion rate should contain these six elements:

1. Compelling Headline

When visitors land on your squeeze page, you have about 3 seconds to grab the attention of those visitors and keep them to explore further on what you have to say. The first thing that goes into their eye is the headline. If the headline is not compelling enough to draw attention of those visitors, they will click away to the next site. Therefore, the headline is the most important element to be considered carefully when developing a killer squeeze page.

2. List of Benefits

Once you have successfully grabbed their attention through a compelling headline, then you need to keep their interest to read further. Don't tell the features of your products or services; instead keep mentioning the benefits on how the freebie you offer to them if they sign up their name and contact email will help them in getting what they want. Don't write in lengthy word that may confuse the readers, benefits in bullet form serves a better purpose.

3. Strong Call to Action

The main purpose of squeeze page is to get the visitors to sign up their name and contact email in exchange with a freebie. So, you need to tell them what they need to do in order for them to get what you are offering. For example, after explaining what you are offering them and how the freebie will benefit them, call them to perform an action such as "Enter your name and email below for instant download".

4. Op-in Form

Op-in Form should always be placed above the fold when visitors can see it without the need to scroll down the page. The same op-in form should always be placed just after a call of action that asks visitors to submit their contact information.

5. Download Link Sent By Email

You want the visitors to enter their real email address in order to get the freebie, so don't direct them to the download page once they enter their contact information and submit the op-in form; instead, notice them that a download link has been sent to their email address and they will need to confirm to get the download.

6. Privacy Statement

People hate junk mails & they worry that their email will be shared to other email spamming sites that may cause their email inbox to be flooded with junk emails. So, ensure your squeeze page visitors that their information won't be shared and you respect their privacy.
