My site’s humble beginning

I’m really not a techy type of person, though I always wanted to have my own site and finally decided to have one, just so I could have a place to put all my thoughts on. I think everyone wants to have their own, but really just don’t know where to start. This is why I posted this one in the first place, to let you know what you might need when wanting to have a site.

Having said that, I started everything from scratch, luckily a friend of mine was kind enough to help me with the layout and design. It was around summer of 2008 when I finally finished it. The next thing to do is find a host where my site will be hosted, since you cannot have a site if you don’t have a host.

The problem was, I really don’t have any budget to pay any host. So I started googling it away and after a few searches, I found FreeWebs.com. As I learn it was for free, I thought that it was perfect for my needs; at least that was what I thought at first.



My struggles

I was so excited and thought that I could take a rest now and just enjoy my site. But I kept noticing a lot of issues. Such as banner ads everywhere, though I know I’m only using their service for free, but still it could be pretty annoying to see many of it throughout my site. Plus, the uptime was slow which made it more frustrating. Other things, I wouldn't waste my time mentioning.

Maybe I’m just too demanding. I started wondering if there’s any other host out there for free but gives a greater service. I started asking my friends for advices. Although most of them actually pay for their hosting, one of friend’s friends recommended me to try Doteasy.



My new host

I was doubts at first with Doteasy, since I barely know the guy who made the recommendation. But what the heck, I'm not enjoying my stay with FreeWebs anyway. And I couldn’t wait even a day anymore to move away from them. So I started checking out Doteasy.

I don’t see any banner ads at all, not even one! And let me tell you this, not all free web hosting could do that. As far as I know, they are the only one. The uptime was great considering that it’s for free. Plus their technical support is just amazing, always helpful and always polite. Up to now, I still can’t believe I get all of this for free. I always thought availing something for free means less quality of service. But I’m definitely wrong about that since Doteasy proves how quality and free are possible together.

The least that I could do for the excellent service that they keep providing me with, is to share my great experience with them to others who might be looking for a best free web hosting. I highly recommend you to try Doteasy. I have been with them for almost a year now, and I can’t see any reason for me to move. My experience with them has been excellent all throughout.
