The traditional rites during the reception may not be followed and instead, you can work on a programme that is more suited for the beach. Make use of the beach theme and relate the events that will happen in the reception to the sand and sea.

You should also check out the venue beforehand at least twice so that all the logistical needs will be met. Planning for a beach wedding will definitely need longer time and more people to help out with the whole thing. People who will decorate the place and setup will need to be at the site a few days before the wedding.
