Tiara or Tantrum?

You have finally chosen your dress for the big day after many months of scouring the internet and probably hundreds of bridalwear shops.  Perhaps you are now thinking - should I wear a veil or not?  If I do wear a veil will I be able to wear a tiara?  Do I really want to wear a tiara anyway?

Some brides feel that this might be too much whereas others want to have as much sparkle and bling as possible.

It is important to consider the style of your dress as well as your hairstyle for your wedding day.  If your dress is a very simple style you might want something simple to match this look.  Perhaps a hairband or a hairband with an embellishment - for example a crystal flower.

Many brides choose a crystal tiara worn on the crown of the head.  A veil may be attached behind the tiara.  This is probably the best choice if the veil is to be worn over the face and then lifted back.

The veil can also be worn at the back of the head.  If the hair is put in an updo style this allows the hair to remain in place without the veil being moved.  A suitable hair accessory in this case would be a bun wrap.  This is a crown style tiara which encompassses the hair.  Alternatively a vine tiara can be worn in the hair - this style of tiara can be worn around the updo and allows more freedom to place where wanted.

Alternatively, hair combs with silk flowers can be worn in the hair for a fresh spring/summer bride.

Many brides wear jewellery which has been gifted to them and so may not need to buy anything for their wedding day.  However, jewellery can be made to match hair accessories and can then be worn as a reminder of a very special day.

From a single pearl droplet to a sparkling crystal choker - the choice is endless.  The main points to consider for the bride to be is - how will my jewellery look with my chosen dress?  Will I be able to wear it again for other occasions?  Will I want silver or gold coloured metal?  Will I want matching earrings?

Perhaps you may not wish to wear any jewellery apart from your wedding ring?  No matter what you decide it is important that you feel comfortable with your choice so that you will really sparkle on your wedding day!
