Brides today have many questions and concerns when it comes to planning their wedding. Unless you have been married before, or perhaps know someone in the wedding business, it can be difficult to know what to look for, or where to begin.

Here are some of the top Ten Questions Brides have asked over the years.

What do I say to an uninvited wedding guest?

It's important to remember you have worked long and hard on the guest list for your special event, and the ones who are chosen are your closest friends and family. So without feeling guilty, you could say: “There have been many difficult decisions we have made regarding the guest list. At this time we really can't squeeze in another guest. We would love to invite you over for dinner soon”. Simple and to the point, without stretching

your wedding dollars to the limit. This leads us into the next question.

I don't want children at my wedding what should I do?

One way to address this problem is the invitation. Simply put on the invitation Adult Reception, this sends a crystal clear message that is hard to ignore. This really works! And that's not all, another way is to mention to family and friends, that it will be an Adult Reception, and that the couple prefers that no children be present. What does that mean for you? Simple, your wishes will be respected, and hopefully no one will have hurt feelings, remember you just can't please everybody, so just please yourself. It's your day, make it unique and special.

What happens if my guest doesn't RSVP by the due date?

For example you can call them and say: “We were looking over the guest list and noticed we have not received your RSVP, we were concerned and thought we would give you a call to confirm your seating arrangements at our reception”. Did you catch that? You showed concern for your guest, at the same time getting the confirmation all in one phone call. One more thing, don't forget to put postage on all RSVP envelopes.

My Mother in Law is trying to control my Wedding Plans, how do I make her stop?

There is no easy way out of this delicate situation, so drastic measures must be taken, to preserve and protect your dreams from invasion.

1. You can thank your Mother in Law for showing interest in your wedding arrangements. Mention to her you have a specific task for her to do, this can be

anything, use your imagination. Whatever it is this keeps her busy and gives you peace of mind.

2. Talk to your fiancé and tell him how you feel about what is going on. Have him talk to his mother, and hopefully things will work out.

3. If step two does not work, then both of you should talk to her and express how you really feel. Thank her for all her ideas, and good will, but both of you as a couple have a specific direction on how things should be run.

4. If all else fails, by two plane tickets to VEGAS, and elope!

We both have a lot of family and friends, who should we invite to the wedding?

This question has a very simple and basic answer: Those who are the closest to you are the ones who should be with you on that special day. This goes for family or friends alike. You may have family like a distant uncle, or aunt, that you have not seen since you were a kid. Even though they are "family" they are not as close to you, as your best friend who has been there whenever you needed them. It gets even better, once you follow this basic rule, choosing the right family and friends will not be a problem, but an act of love, that you will never forget.

Should I Invite my ex spouse to my Wedding?

Before this question can be answered you must ask yourself one very important question. Do I have a good relationship with my ex to invite him or her to my wedding? If the answer is yes, with no regrets, then send them the invite with no worries.

If the answer is No then you should stop, and think for a moment. This can be a potentially explosive situation.

Here are the facts, you are putting your future spouse, in a very uncomfortable position, not to mention what everyone else will think when your ex shows up with his or her date. Instead of your guests focusing on the Bride and Groom, all eyes will be on the ex, especially when the wedding vows come up. THIS IS A BAD THING!!! Don't create a problem where you can avoid one, but as always the choice is up to you.

Do I have to pay for all my bridesmaid's dresses?

If you have the finances, and the resources to buy all your bridesmaids dresses and accessories then by all means do so. Again this would be a personal choice that both the Bride and the Groom would have to agree upon.

On the other hand, paying for all your bridesmaids dresses is going to be very costly. If you have the budget to foot the bill for this expense that is your choice. You are under no obligation to do so especially if your funds are limited. There is however something else to consider, you should tell your bridesmaids upfront, in the beginning that you will not be able to purchase their dresses and accessories. This is best for both parties, so there is no misunderstanding, and your wedding plans can move forward.

Do I need a whole year to plan my Wedding?

You may be able to plan your wedding in less that a year, but you don't have control of all the vital pieces, to make it all work smoothly. Consider this, you have your eye on a beautiful wedding reception hall, but it has been booked solid until 2010. Your wedding is scheduled for 2009. Do you get the point? The quicker you secure these key elements, the better off you will be.

Many of these vital pieces such as the reception hall, the photographer, the wedding cake, and other elements must be booked way in advance. In most cases it's a year out or more. Don't kid yourself into thinking you have plenty of time to get it all together, time moves very quickly. When it comes to hair and make-up artist, the best ones are booked 6 months or more in advance. Don't be caught short, use your time wisely to get the professionals you need for the results you want.

How do I get the Groom involved in the Wedding arrangements?

First of all there is this misconception that the Groom, has to be totally and completely hands off when it comes to wedding details and arrangements. This is simply not true, totally unfounded, and simply a big fat lie!

Before your Wedding plans get into full swing, explain that you need his input because as a couple, you will share this day for a lifetime. Commitment with cooperation is one of the greatest strength that two people can have.

If you have a heart to heart with your honey, and he has agreed to help any way he can, things will go very smoothly. Guys in general need small reminders from time to time, when he sees how important this means to the both of you, he will step up to the challenge. If he decides not to participate don't force him, respect his wishes, and hide the TV remote control.

I'm Under So Much Stress Planning My Wedding What Can I Do?

One of the Best ways to relieve stress would be to take some time for yourself. This concept of course is nothing new, but when put into action it can have a truly relaxing effect. Do something that makes you happy, you know, something you enjoy doing and have fun doing it. This is called Me Time .

If you are going to follow the Me Time method, you must under no circumstances do anything associated with your wedding. Let me repeat that, This means not looking at those Bridal shows on TV, or reading Bridal magazines, or anything else that will cause you to get stressed out. Remember this time is for relaxation not frustration, do yourself a favor have some fun!

It's All About The Style Your Choose

Here is a very important tip you should always remember, when it comes to all aspects of your wedding day, your Style is the key . Personal style like anything else you do, has to reflect your personality not someone else's. There are many things that are associated with your personal style when it comes to your wedding. For example your colors, Invitations, music, food, flowers and of course you're wedding dress, just to name a few. There have been, many occasions where either family or friends, have manipulated their own ideas, into someone else's wedding. This is just wrong and should be avoided.

Under no circumstances let your opinion be held hostage to a friend, or family member. Stand your ground, you'll feel better in the long run with no regrets. Remember this is your day, make it unique and personal, and most important add your personal touch .

One the other hand, if someone has suggestions that you feel that can help you, why not consider them? Your family and friends are really trying to help, but you must decide how much of their help you're willing to accept.

Relax have fun on your wedding day! This is your moment in the sun, make it a day to remember, and of course do it with Style!
