Having the goal of losing 100 pounds in 3 months can be a somewhat daunting task even for the most focused of individuals. This is done to ensure that you are losing a consistent amount of fat weekly.

However, you should also realize that losing such a great amount of fat in such a short period of time can also subject your body to unwanted stress and this can have other side effects. However, here are some tips and techniques that you can use if you are serious about losing 100 pounds in 3 months.

First of all, a technique that many people use, and which has proven to be successful time and time again is known as calorie shifting. This means that you will be cycling and rotating through the types of food that you eat in your everyday life. This has many advantages over other types of diets.

First of all, if we compare calorie shifting to the traditional ways in which people diet, we can see the following. Using the traditional approach, the body’s metabolism will slow down significantly in just a few days or possibly weeks. The body will no longer be able to burn fat at a consistent rate.

This happens because the body will start to feel that it is being starved and therefore it will hang on to each and every pound of fat available. This happens because the body will not be able to make a difference between you trying to lose weight and an actual event where there is no food available.

However, if you use calorie shifting the body will have no time to adapt and therefore, the metabolism will still continue to function as usual. In the process, it will burn more and more fat.

Another advantage of calorie shifting over the traditional way of dieting, is that with calorie shifting, you will be able to do this on a long term basis, as opposed to the traditional way of doing things, where people, often end up failing on such diets after just a couple of weeks.
