In this day and age, everyone is busy. Whether you are balancing friends, a boyfriend, and a busy career, or a husband, kids, and work you probably don’t have a ton of time to devote to yourself and the things you want and need. Grabbing fast food on the go or skipping the gym becomes the norm instead of a rarity and eventually you’ve gone from a size 4 to a size 14. So how do you get your body back without changing your entire life around? I know it sounds impossible, but it can be done!
Everyone knows that a fairly strict diet and exercise routine are the best way to lose weight quickly and safely. Most people fail at losing weight because they don’t have the time to prepare healthy meals or to dedicate to long workouts, but making healthier choices doesn’t have to be time consuming.
Getting in extra exercise is fairly simple as well. For example, take the stairs whenever you have the option and park your car as far away from entrances as you can so that you can get in more walking. Try doing sit-ups and lunges during commercials when watching TV or do curls holding cans of soup while cooking. Adding in healthier foods to your meals can be easy too. Try buying pre-cut fruits and veggies for snacks instead of chips or pretzels or cooking a large healthy meal at the beginning of the week and then take the leftovers in for lunch. You can also get prepared chickens, turkey breasts, or fish at most supermarkets that are just as quick and easy as burgers, but with fewer calories and less fat.
So if you are trying to lose weight but are just too busy to really get the job done, don’t despair. Make healthier food choices where you can and squeeze in extra exercise whenever the opportunity presents itself. Every little bit helps when it comes to slimming down!
