The majority of people who need to engage in weight loss are those who eat too much and exercise far too little, obvious? The first hurdle is getting a steady routine, most people will try and do too much too fast and end up giving up before they’ve even started. They key to beat this is to realize that it is not going to happen over night and it takes time and consistency.
The next problem is of course how you go about losing weight. It seems people will either go on a diet or start to exercise; while this is a good thing its only tackling one half of the problem which may be an O.K. for a starting point, but ultimately will not do be enough.
The problem I had was I was doing about 80% exercise and 20% diet, which worked quite well for a while and I did lose weight. The real key to weight loss is your diet, you still need a healthy dose of exercise, but what I actually found was its more like 80% diet and 20% exercise. This was my revelation; I just had it backwards, so until you realize for yourself its something that can really hinder your efforts.
Finally, when you can balance fitness and diet and fit it into your normal life then losing weight and keeping it off should be easy and maybe even fun as it can be addictive. This is how I lost weight; I’m not totally where I want to be at, but close and it will happen soon. So, Good Luck!
