Need to Find Appropriate Diet? - Low Carbohydrate Diets May be the Answer

Low carbohydrate diets(more known as "low carb diets") are based on the premise that sugar is a "white death". Authors of these diets blame sugar, carbohydrates in particular, to be the main reason in gaining an excess of body weight.
Low-carbohydrate diets are based on the generally recognized theory that an excess of carbohydrates, which are not used by the body for the current energy expenditure, are transformed into fats, which are stored as an energetic stock. If there is a case when consumed carbohydrates are not enough for the current energy expenditure, than the body starts to use the fat stock.
Recent research has questioned the validity of this theory but has yet to disprove it, for example, the works of Mikhail Ginzburg (and as for me I find the arguments extremely convincing). Nevertheless, low carbohydrate diets are currently the most wide-spread-diets and the results in weight loss can be observed.
Most of the low-carbohydrate diets should be referred to as nutrition methods rather than diets. These methods are the Kremlin diet, Montinyak method, Atkins method, South beach diet. The authors recommend following these methods throughout the participants life, assuring that their metabolism adapts to the new dietary regime: the body gets used to living without sweets and doesn’t long for the candies, chocolates and buns anymore.
Among the time-limited low carbohydrate diets we can mark out as an example Kim Protasov’s diet, the French diet, protein diet, meat diet and the diet of “Ten products”.
Low-carbohydrate diets rarely result in quick results. In most cases they are designed to cause serious changes in the body (which, obviously, can not happen in 3-5 days). Serious effects from the low-carbohydrate diets can be observed only in long-term outlook.
In most cases low-carbohydrate diets are hard to maintain and continue successfully for the user, especially if you are trying too hard and restrict yourself too much from consuming sugars. If you do you can end up with signs of hypoglycemia (lack of sugar in blood), weakness, drowsiness, which sometimes can result in fainting, decrease in work efficiency, constant hunger.

If you have any chronic disease, especially if it is connected to the metabolic disorders, then you should be very careful starting the low carbohydrate diet. It is very important to consult with a doctor before starting any such diets. Low carbohydrate diets are contra-indicated in the conditions of diabetes mellitus, pregnancy and breast-feeding.
