Sonoma Diet: Simple Steps to Achieve Your Dream Body!

 

The word “Sonoma” comes from a name of a northern region in San Francisco that has a climate that is similar to that in the Mediterranean. The Sonoma Diet is actually a mixture of weight loss practices and Mediterranean beliefs that is simple and at the same time offers less effort in terms of counting grams and proportions. Since it is a simple plan, it only makes use of plate sizes in relation to the control of food.

Sonoma Diet emphasizes that in order for an individual to lose weight, he/she must consider the food he/she eats rather than on the foods that he/she doesn’t eat. It is in this weight loss plan where one must set his/her focus on slow eating and food savoring in order to reach the full flavor of the food.

Though Sonoma Diet focuses on its simple weight loss program, the food variation is not sacrificed because different variants of food can provide a lot of nutrients. It is in here where the emphasis on consuming whole foods are encouraged, while processed foods can also be taken but on a very minimal extent only.

The simple weight loss plan of Sonoma Diet also includes those foods that should be avoided. Aside from a very small amount of processed foods, the following are also limited:


     

  • foods high in saturated fats
  • foods high in starch content
  • foods high in sugar

Furthermore, it is very important for the individual to be conscious with portion control by having the right amount of food and the right amount of nutrients needed by the body. There are actually three phases of Sonoma Diet namely:

  • 1st Phase: for ten days, do not eat foods rich in saturated fat
  • 2nd Phase: if there is weight loss, fruit, vegetables, dairy, and grains can be now eaten
  • 3rd Phase: just a maintenance stage
