South Beach Diet: the Way to a Healthy and Happy Life

 

There are people who got sick and tired already regarding diet plans for one major reason: they don’t work at all, but with South Beach Diet it’s different because it inculcates all the phases on our way of life, culture, and lifestyle. It is in here where this diet motivates us to eat contently by eating without excess carbohydrates and fats. Dr. Arthur Agatston, a cardiologist who formed the South Beach Diet stated that it is safe and healthy for body. In order for an individual to be healthy in this diet, one must work in the following phases:

  • PHASE 1: This will run for two weeks. Basically it deals with elimination of unnecessary carbohydrates. It is in here where the body decreased its resistance in insulin, in effect, the body will utilize excess amount of fats, so there is lose in weight. In the span of two weeks, one will eat average size of nuts, cheese, eggs, meat, fish, and vegetables. This diet also include three meals, with snacks, motivates the individual to eat until the hunger was fulfilled.
  • PHASE 2: Everything must be taken in moderation with focus on dairy, whole grain, fruits, veggies, plus foods that falls into low glycerin index.
  • PHASE 3: It is in this phase where your desired weight must be attained. This is also known as the “maintenance phase” where the plan expands to have three portions of whole grains and three servings of fruits.

The South Beach Diet will not hinder you to eat you favorite foods but you must take them in moderation. You can achieve and attain your healthy goal in just a small span of time.
