It is sold under various brand names like Ionamin R, Adipex R and many more. It is also available as Phentermine - its generic name.

Phentermine diet pill is one of the best selling weight loss drugs.

The weight loss by Phentermine is up most in the first few weeks of the treatment. The beneficial effects then wear off slowly. Phentermine is best for short term weight management. The drug has to be taken with a restricted calorie diet and exercise to achieve optimum benefits.
With all these drugs it is important to understand that there will be no miracles and that benefit slowly decrease. And most of them come with serious side effects.
Though Phentermine is the most tolerant drug it too comes with a host of side effects. Dizziness, confusion, agitation, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability, dry mouth, insomnia. There could be some serious side effects like -increased heart rate and high blood pressure, gastrointestinal disturbances, breathing difficulties, changes in libido, frequent urination.
It is important to take and consult the doctor if one is using any other drug related to heart or brain. It is extremely damaging if co administered with other weight loss drugs.
Pregnant or breast feeding mothers should not take Phentermine diet pills. Children under 16 years should also not take these diet pills.
