First we need understand why fat accumulates around the belly. Because of our hectic lifestyle most people don’t have time to cook. If it isn’t ready to eat, most people won’t have anything to do with it.

Let’s look at some “fast food” math: A typical hamburger, French fries and Coca Cola are about 1000 calories. Now, the typical women only requires about 1,800-2,500 calories a day.
This meal not only almost exceeds the full daily requirement but exceeds fat and sodium requirements by a mile. This 1000 calorie feast is usually eaten in about 30 min or less. If it took half an hour to eat, how long will it take to burn of the same amount of calories? Depending on what exercise, about 2-6 hours.
Now check this out. Your body is amazing. It is a very smart and efficient machine. If you give it junk and quick foods, you don’t give it very much nutrition. You’re actually giving it a bunch of sugar and empty calories.
So, in response your body thinks it’s starving. Because there is no actual nutrition being fed to it, it thinks it’s in a famine. Your body’s main job is to keep you alive, and if it thinks your starving it, it’s going to store anything it can any way it can.
You catching on here? So, you’re body usually ends up storing more fat, and more fat stores are added. Guess where these extra fat stores are created? Yup, you guessed it – the belly. See, you need your arms and legs to run and defend yourself from predators and to survive in general. The human body has evolved to allow you to use your arms and legs freely.
This is all part of your body’s built in survival mechanism. Unfortunately, the body hasn’t had to enough time to our new fast food habits. It took thousands of years for the body to evolve to where it is today, but with the introduction of processed foods and chemical filled junk in the past 100 years, the body hasn’t had time to adapt. To make sure you stay alive and able to survive, most of that extra fat goes to your belly.
So what’s the good news? Well, in all honesty belly fat is really easy to get rid of. The biggest problem is most of don’t like to hear the solution: not eating the sugary and processed foods that got us in this mess.
But it’s about eating the right things in the right portions. You won’t need to starve yourself or buy expensive pills, or use dangerous Hollywood fad diets. It just takes some lifestyle changes. Are you willing to make these changes and permanently lose that fat around your stomach area?
