Many women buy clothes that don't fit, with the hope of losing weight so that they can show the clothes off later. This is normal with smaller sized jeans in particular. There are also those of us who will buy bikinis and swimwear months before the summer rolls in, in the hope that they will be able to show off their flat bellies by then.

This strategy of buying small sized clothing can work as a good motivator for you to lose those extra pounds and get your belly flat enough for the summer sun. However, having these items of clothing and looking at them everyday can also prove to be an anxious experience. This is especially true if you do not have a concrete plan to lose weight in the first place. Remember that a flat belly will not magically appear on the first day of summer. It takes some effort and hard work during the spring to lose those pounds and get yourself a beach perfect body.

The first step is to ensure that you maintain a healthy diet. Your meals should consist of 50% fruit and vegetables, and 50% protein and low fat carbs. Always include fiber as this makes you feel full, such that you avoid binging on junk food. Be sure to do some exercises such as aerobics and reduce your intake of alcohol if any. All these are some lifestyle changes you must make in order to get a beach perfect belly for that fabulous bikini that you are dying to show off next summer.
