The Flat Stomach Diet: Five Ways to a Six-Pack

Like a lot of people, you may be about to embark on that timeless journey otherwise known as the flat stomach diet. It looks so easy. Here are five great ways to help you flatten your belly.

First, you will be happy to know that the flat stomach diet doesn’t require you to subsist on a diet solely of alfalfa sprouts and boiled carrots. You can still eat the foods you love, like steak or roast beef, but the key is in the quantity. Just by reducing the size of your normal portion, you are well on your way to cutting your fat intake. Second, in spite of what you may have heard, cutting carbohydrates is not part of the flat stomach diet since this will not lead to permanent weight loss. In fact, by reducing carbs, you may end up hurting your health in the long run since you may be missing out on important vitamins and minerals.

Third, just by making a few health food substitutions, you can go a long way toward reducing belly fat. For example, the flat stomach diet permits you to swap out those fattening potato chips for nuts like almonds and pecans. Just a few subtle changes can make a huge difference.

Finally, while what you eat is the most important part of the flat stomach diet, don’t forget exercise. The good news is that you don’t have to start training for marathons.
