What Does Tap Water Contain? Dont Read This if You Are Not Worried About Your Childs Health

What does tap water contain? How can we trust the cleanliness and safety of the water we drink daily when news about contaminants in drinking water are coming out?

Hearing about pesticides and prescription drugs in our water makes us wonder if we can do something about this without getting too dependent on bottled water.

Before we get to the solutions we can consider to solve our drinking water problems, let's consider the things that could be in the water we're drinking right now.

What Does Tap Water Contain?

1. Microorganisms

The first major concern is the presence of living contaminants in tap water.

These include bacteria that can cause stomach pains, loose bowel movement and infection. If a community consumes drinking water with these microorganisms, outbreaks of cholera might occur.

2. Inorganic contaminants

Chemical residues, including those from factory run off, domestic and municipal waste, and trace elements that seep into the soil to reach the water sources are examples of inorganic contaminants.

These toxic chemicals may or may not cause direct damage in our bodies, but they may react with the components  in the human body, giving rise to complications.

These pollutants, pesticides in particular, don't disintegrate easily. They react with other elements in the soil to produce byproducts. More often than not, these byproducts are the ones that pose a serious threat to our health.

Now that the burning question of " What Does Tap Water Contain " has been answered read on for the recommended solutions.

What can we do?

We can keep relying on our local water treatment plants, which do a good job of making our drinking water relatively clean and safe.

However, there's no mistaking that these treatments are not enough to remove all of the contaminants in our drinking water.

Purifying the water we use every single day is something that we should do ourselves.

We can start by treating the water we use for cleaning with disinfectants. For this, chlorine works best and it's readily available.
