Provola, caprino, toma, stracchino, gorgonzola, pecorino: hundreds of different cheeses on display at Cheese, the international quality cheese fair that returns to Bra from 18 to 20 September.
Products from 20 different nations will be present at the Cheese Market in Piazza Roma and in the Grand Cheese Space in the porticos of Corso Garibaldi. In the Church of San Rocco and in Via Principi di Piemonte there will be a special section devoted to cheese products produced specifically in the Italian and French Alpine regions.
The programme at Cheese 2009 features many events, including workshops on Flavour and on Milk, courses for qualifying as Master of Food, and naturally countless opportunities to delight the palate: Street Kitchens, Wine Cellars, Tasting Stalls, Beer cellars.
Bormioli Rocco will be part of this Slow Food event as technical sponsor. The famous glass firm based in Fidenza will be providing its wine glasses for use in the Wine Bar. The most prestigious wines in the “Guide to Everyday Wine” will be served in Premium wine glasses, whose shape and dimensions were originally elaborated jointly with the Italian Sommelier Association in order to best enhance the colours and bouquets of red, white and rosé wines. Shiny, sturdy, dishwashable, these glasses are examples of a perfect marriage between design and practicality.
The streets of Bra will also feature a Bormioli Rocco stand, displaying Quattro Stagioni and Fido glass jars, ideal for preserving the goodness of cheese. The Quattro Stagioni line – which combines the advantages of traditional conserving methods with the hygienic safety of modern vacuum techniques – will show two new lid-cover kits designed to make these glass food storage containers even more appealing.
The Frigoverre Fun line is one of the novelties in the 2009 catalogue, decorated with a lively floral design and available in three different colours: orange, green and blue. Thanks to its exclusive seal, the lid adheres perfectly and guarantees optimal closure: this means that foodstuffs stay fresh and odours remain enclosed. The lid also has a viewing window that makes sure the contents are conveniently visible.
