10. Burrowing Owl Estate Winery
The Burrowing Owl Estate Winery recently received new wine making facilities after substantial renovation in 2003. Aside from a new tasting bar and wine shop, the winery can now take advantage of a more efficient wine making process resulting in a more enjoyable experience for visitors.
The Burrowing Owl Estate Winery also features the Sonora Room, a new restaurant looking over the winery’s dramatic landscape. Here, visitors can dine on the outdoor patio and sip the winery’s very best.
The Burrowing Owl Estate Winery’s wine shop is open April to November daily, from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
9. Tinhorn Creek Vineyards
Believing in and utilizing sustainable farming practices, Tinhorn Creek Vineyards sits unrivalled atop the “Golden Mile,” a former gold mining creek. Guests here can sample the different wines while taking in views of the massive 150 acre vineyard.

8. Twisted Tree Vineyards & Winery
Family owned and hand crafted are the two phrases that best describe Twisted Tree Vineyards and Winery. This winery only produces a small amount of wine annually as it only sells its highest quality wine. To these wine makers, their product is an expression of their passion for winemaking and regional terroir.
Twisted Tree Vineyards & Winery offers fantastic views of Osoyoos and the lake. The tasting room is open daily from 10:00am to 5:00pm between May to October.
7. Inniskillin Winery
Situated in the town of Oliver just north of Osoyoos, Inniskillin Winery features table wine and icewine. Similar to Jackson-Triggs, Inniskillin Winery started off in Niagara Falls and has expanded into the Okanagan Valley. Like its eastern counterpart, the Okanagan Inniskillin Winery shares the same commitment to excellence which shines through the wines it produces.
Due to the harvesting of icewine, the winery is open all year round from 10:00am to 5:00pm during the summertime, and 10:00am to 4:00pm during the wintertime.
6. Hester Creek Estate Winery
Hester Creek Estate is one of British Columbia’s most awarded wineries. Situated along the Golden Mile, guests can relax, shielded from the sun, on the vine-covered patio with refreshments, snacks, and panoramic views to enjoy. This winery is open from May 1st through Canadian Thanksgiving weekend from 10:00am to 5:30pm. From then on, the winery is still open up until April 30th; however, they close slightly earlier at 4:00pm.
5. Le Vieux Pin Winery
Le Vieux Pin, which is named after the iconic pine tree on the northwest corner of the vineyard, is a newer winery first opening its doors in 2006. Taking inspiration from the old French barn and railway station located on the property, wines here are made in the French tradition.
Le Vieux Pin Winery is located just north of Osoyoos in the town of Oliver.
4. Blasted Church Winery
In 1929 a small crew of men set out on a mission to bring an old abandoned church back from a deserted mining camp to where it belonged, the Okanagan Falls. Before being able to move the church, the nails needed to be loosened. To do this, the crew used sticks of dynamite to blast the church’s foundation. Soon the church was moved to its current location garnering itself a new name and a new superior view of the lake.
Blasted Church Winery is open 7 days per week from 10:00am to 5:00pm between May 1 and October 31.
3. Nk’Mip Cellars
Aside from being accredited as North America’s first aboriginal owned and operated winery, Nk’Mip Cellars has also received well over 40 sought after awards for its excellent wines. In addition, a small restaurant serving premium dishes is available on site. The winery and restaurant are open from 9:00am-5:00pm between May 1 and October 31 while the gift/wine shop is open all year round.
2. LaStella Winery
First opening its doors in May of 2007, LaStella Winery is fairly new to the Okanagan Valley. This winery features a gorgeous view of the lake which does more than just please the eye. The cool temperatures from the lake help cool the vines during the night which assist them in growing to their full potential. In addition, this winery also has a unique soil composition giving its grapes a unique taste. LaStella’s wine shop is open 7 days per week from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
1. Jackson-Triggs Vintners
Stretching across 410 acres of grapevines, the Jackson-Triggs Vintners features stunning views of the lake and exemplifies the beauty of the Okanagan Valley.
Similar to the Inskillin Winery, Jackson-Triggs first produced wines in the Niagara Falls area before setting up shop in the Okanagan in 1998. While moving, Jackson-Triggs brought along advanced wine-making techniques which helped them in producing a multitude of different wines. The wine gallery is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm in the winter, and until 6:00pm during the summertime.
