Healthy Weight Loss
Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat food is not the answer to losing weight. Also, virtually every person in today's society is buying mostly "low fat" or "non fat" food at the grocery store, everybody is conscious of the "fat grams" inside the food they buy. However, people are getting fatter than ever by doing this and people are not losing weight by switching to the "low fat lifestyle". Low fat is not the answer and neither is trying to starve your self. The reason you cannot lose weight by starving yourself (using a low calorie diet) is because your metabolism will detect any major drop in calories and it will then ADJUST ITSELF by burning fewer calories each day. The pressure to be thin takes its toll on our emotions. We have a tendency to feel bad about our weight because thinness is stressed by the fashion industry, the media, advertising, health professionals, and our culture. Dieting may make you feel like a failure if you cannot lose weight. Your weight can fluctuate by a few pounds from one day to the next. The adult body is about 60% water, so small changes in water balance can easily alter body weight. That is why it is important to choose a weight loss program that is best for you.
Choosing a weight-loss program is a difficult task. You may want to talk with your doctor or other health care professional about controlling your weight before you decide on a weight-loss program. Even if you feel uncomfortable talking about your weight with your doctor, remember that he or she is there to help you improve your health. If your health care provider tells you that you should lose weight and you want to find a weight-loss program to help you, look for one that is based on regular physical activity and an eating plan that is balanced, healthy, and easy to follow. Weight-loss programs should encourage healthy behaviors that help you lose weight and that you can stick with every day.

I am a 20 yr old female with BACK FAT that will not budge. The back fat is unsightly! It really upsets me because its not like i can suck in my back lol i can't wear a tee without love handles and muffin tops! I have a flat stomach and a horrible back so I know it's hereditary.
