The Signs And Symptoms Of Menopause

Menopause is the time in a woman's life when her hormones start to decline. The initial phase of menopause is called perimenopause. There is a loss of hormones during this phase and then hormones bottom out as women enter menopause. Hormones are critical to all functions of the body and without them your quality of life goes down.

Perimenopause may start in women at ages as young as their early thirties. During this phase, hormones surge and then plummet. One day estrogen levels may be sky high and the next day they drop. The same thing happens with progesterone. Perimenopause used to start in women in their forties, but todays lifestyle has accelerated the process.

Perimenopause is the time in a woman's life when she should reach out for help with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She does not have to wait until she reaches menopause. Symptoms to watch for in perimenopause are weight gain, insomnia, loss of sex drive, depression and irregular periods.

After perimenopause a woman will be in the phase of menopause. The signs and symptoms of menopause are dry skin, bad moods, depression, bloating, hot flashes, insomnia, night sweats, restless legs at bedtime and no libido.

Women no longer have to suffer through menopause. Because of bioidentical hormones, a woman can get back to feeling like her old self. She will no longer have hot flashes and night sweats and will sleep like a baby. Everyone is better able to cope with their problems and their everyday life when they are well rested. Sleep is vital.

The signs and symptoms of menopause create a life for some women that is very hard to deal with. Some women will have more severe symptoms than others. Regardless on the degree of severity, it is important to keep hormones in balance and replenished.

Synthetic hormone replacement therapy has been shown to be dangerous for a woman. They are drugs and are not natural replacements for lost hormones. There are doctors now who specialize in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy which are hormones made from things found in nature and are synthesized to replicate human hormones.
