Ways in Eliminating Cellulite

Cellulite is a common body problem that occurs in both men and women usually on the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs. Cellulite is described as cottage cheese skin because of its appearance. Women are more likely victims of this because of their hormonal levels and cellulite occurs in women especially after childbirth.

What causes cellulite? Cellulite is associated with excessive eating of fatty foods, lack of exercise, alcohol drinking, cigarette smoking, as well as wearing tight clothing all the time. The mentioned prevent the normal firmness of the skin, as well as normal blood flow to the area; hence, cellulites appear.

Below are some ways to help you in getting rid of cellulite:

1)     Exercise and have healthy dietary habits. There are exercises that can be done to target the problem areas, burn excess fat, and tighten the skin. Also moderate the intake of fats, carbohydrates, and salts.

2)     Use topical cellulite treatment creams. They contain collagen and elastin that help firm up and tighten the cellulite problem areas. There are even herbal medicines made available for people who want to get rid of their cellulite. Some of the herbs contained in these supplements are Dioscurea, which helps regulate hormone levels, and Commiphora, which assists in effective fat burning.

3)     Endermologie is another method for eliminating cellulite. It involves a machine with rollers that massages the area with cellulite. The rolling action helps tighten the skin and loosen up fat deposits. According to many patients, it is a relaxing procedure. However 15 to 20 Endermologie treatments or more may be needed to achive best results. It is also not a permanent solution, and should be accompanied by diet and exercise.

Mesotherapy uses injections with medication that help burn fat effectively beneath the skin. Various chemicals are used in this procedure, depending on the type of cellulite. Results are long lasting, but the cost is also higher, ranging from $5,000 to $10,000.
