Jewelry plays a very significant role in our society. It is used to indicate status such as being engaged, being married or even belonging to a particular faith. The Christian faith is known for having many different items of jewelry that each indicates something significant or specific.
This is not unique to the Christian faith. Many other religious groups have specific jewelry items that serve as symbols of their beliefs and which they also wear or place in the house to signify good luck.
For the Christian faith across is the most important symbol. It is therefore also not surprising that the cross is found in many of the Christian jewelry items.
Even though Christians wear cross jewelry to signify their faith, the same jewelry is also worn by many on the people that do not necessarily share the same beliefs. They wear these jewelry items simply because they like them.
The rosary also forms a large part of the Christian jewelry collection. This jewelry item usually consists of beads. It is often worn by celebrities as a fashion statement, even though they have very little interest in the Christian faith.
Christian jewelry also often includes some form of design with a picture of either the Virgin Mary or Jesus in the design. The popular jewelry items that usually have this design include the cross and the pendant.
Christians that wear Christian jewelry usually do so to demonstrate their association with their faith as well as for protection and good luck.
Since Christian jewelry is worn by people who have nothing to do with the Christian faith, you can find this type of jewelry in almost any jewelry store or department store.
These items usually are manufactured from platinum, silver and gold and often include several gemstones as well.
Some people would say that the Christian jewelry that you can buy in a department store is a commercialized version. They believe that the only authentic Christian jewelry that you can purchase is at a church store.
Purchasing at a church store has the benefit of giving you the level of comfort of greater authenticity, it also benefits the church, and prices are usually lower than in the commercial ventures.
Even though Christian jewelry is most often worn on the body, such as rings or bracelets, it is often placed in people's homes, vehicles and offices as a sign of faith or good luck.
Christian jewelry is also a popular item to be personalized with either one's name or your initials.
