Pepper Spray -- Being Buried Can Get You Buried

Here’s one reason that you should have your Pepper Spray easily accessible when you are out at night.

Barbara looked forward to a shopping spree.  There were many sales advertised in the downtown shopping area.  Unfortunately was a Friday night and she had to park far away from the stores.  “Why don’t they make a central parking lot?” she said to herself.

Four hours later, Barbara was tired from all that walking from store to store and, needless to say, she had a couple of packages with her.

“Goodness,” Barbara thought, “it’s later than I thought.  Was I really in those stores that long?  And why did I have to pick Friday night to shop?”

Unfortunately she had parked on a side street a couple of blocks away from the shopping area and the street was dark except for 1 overhead light at the end of the street.  And, of course, she parked in yhe middle of the block and away from the light.

But, Barbara felt safe because she left her house with protection.  She had purchased a can of Pepper Spray and put it in her purse, just in case.  She also had a Personal Alarm that would attract a lot of attention if she set off the 120 db alarm.

So, as Barbara walked down the street with the packages in each hand, she noticed a man coming towards her.  Something didn’t feel right about the situation so she started to put her packages down when the man came closer and said “give me your money, lady”.

Barbara knew that she had her Pepper Spray and Personal Alarm but they were buried in her purse.  She saw them while she was shopping and never thought to take the Pepper Spray out and carry it in one hand with the packages in the other.

Had she had the Pepper Spray handy she would have immediately sprayed this creep in the eyes and dropped him where he stood and then set off her Personal Alarm.  She also would have run from the attacker and called 911 on her cell phone so the cops could take the crying, slobbering bad guy away.

But Barbara couldn’t get to her Pepper Spray because it was mixed up with all the other stuff in her purse.  The creep got tired of waiting for Barbara to give him her money so he punched her in the face, breaking her jaw and loosening a few teeth. 

And, he got not only her money but her whole purse with her credit cards, license and all the other personal information she had.

Barbara was lucky -- she came away with just a broken jaw and some loose teeth. 

Yes, lucky -- she could have been killed!

This entire incident could have been avoided if Barbara had taken a little time and carried her Pepper Spray in her hand when she left the shopping area for her car.

And the worst part of it was that she knew better!

Don’t let what happened to Barbara happen to you.  Everyone should have Pepper Spray available to them, especially when you’re out at night and alone.  Just keep it handy and not in your pocket or purse.
