Writing website content articles can be a scary business. What if your website content isn’t good enough? What if you make a mistake in your English grammar or the article just isn’t interesting? There it is, published on your website, for everyone to see!
Well, writing website content articles doesn’t have to be frightening. There are a few simple rules to follow, but basically writing website content is just writing what you are passionate about—and that can’t be wrong, can it? After all, it’s your website and generally people start a website about something that interests them (something they are passionate about). That enthusiasm that made you start the website to begin with will surely come across in your writing. And that can’t be wrong!
Even if you are scared of writing website content articles in the beginning, here are a few simple tips to follow to make it easier:
ARTICLE HEADLINES:
Compose your article headlines to attract your website visitor’s attention. Make them compelled to read your article. Use power words like “fantastic”, “tremendous”, “Sharp” or “Exciting” to grab their attention. Or you can ask your reader a question so they want to read the article to find the answer. Another strategy is to offer “Tips on…” or “Reasons to…” or “How to…” People are always hungry for information like that and will be more apt to find out about it in your article.
ARTICLE STRUCTURE:
If you have trouble composing a whole article, try taking it in small steps. First write your opening sentence. Then write a sentence about each point you want to discuss. Your article could have maybe three points. Make each point a separate paragraph. Then write your concluding sentence.
So now you have an opening sentence (which becomes your first paragraph), three paragraphs of one sentence each, and a concluding sentence (your last paragraph). After you have these, go back and write a second sentence expanding on your point in each paragraph. I guarantee that after your second sentence in each paragraph, the third or fourth sentence will come along naturally.
There you have it. You article is all laid out. You really don’t need more than three or four sentences in each paragraph, as long as you have covered what you want to say in the article.
ARTICLE CONTENT:
I just wanted to say a quick word about what your website content articles should be about. Your article content should always be in line with what your website is about and what your advertising message has to do with. After all, a website selling car parts shouldn’t have an article about doll collecting on it. You would lose the interest and respect of the readers you want to attract to sell your car parts to. So make sure your website content articles are appropriate for the type of website you have.
Now all you have to do is to hit the “spelling and grammar” button on your word processing program and it will help you get the article in tip-top shape. Your website content article is now ready to publish on your website to attract those web visitors you are looking for. So you see, writing website content articles doesn’t have to be a scary thing. Taken one step at a time, it is really quite easy.
