For freelance writers that are just starting to write it is a great way to enter the market. You do not need to do as much market research as would be necessary if you were writing a book of your own to see what sells but you will be writing for one person who you know will pay you at the end. By applying on freelance writing jobs boards such as freelanceworkexchange.com, elance.com and guru.com you may quickly get enough work to keep you busy and bring in a decent living.

For more seasoned writers your writing experience is going to increase your demand as a freelance writer and you will quickly find as much work as you need with freelance writing jobs boards. You can take on a couple of freelance writing projects as well as continuing with your own writing when the writer's block is over.

Freelance writing is a great opportunity for new or seasoned writers as acting as a freelance writer you will be telling other people's stories and there are so many ideas out there, so many stories that people want to tell or expertise that they want to share that you will never run short and your days of writer's block will be over.
