English essay writing was always a nightmare for me. It was like I had phobia of writing an essay in English. The fear of writing a essay surrounded me like the deathly hollows surrounded “Hogwarts in Harry Potter”.

So here it goes how you can write a good essay following the standard structure.
The most common structure of good essay writing is as follows:
Introduction
1 paragraph
2 paragraph
3 paragraph
4 paragraph
Conclusion
In writing a good essay introduction, you need to state what you are going to do. In introductory paragraph, you briefly introduce the topic; state your position or thesis statement and present three or four reasons to discuss further.
For writing essay body paragraphs, you need to discuss the reasons with supporting evidences. Write one reason in one paragraph.
To write a good essay conclusion, you should restate the thesis statement and summarize all the points with a definite thought.
When you finish writing an essay, it should have the following qualities.
- Focused
- Logically argumentative
- Unambiguous
- Well-structured
- Attention grabbing
- Illustrative evidences
- Properly cited
