The main problem facing affiliate marketers is not the selling of the products, but the traffic to sell the products to. Anybody can put up a site, write some content place a few affiliate links and you are in business, or are you?

There are a multitude of would be internet entrepreneurs giving up daily after spending hundreds of dollars on all sorts of products, but two months down the line there is still not a penny to show for it.

With a return on investment of zero after two months of slogging along the idea of making money online seems to be a pipe dream, nothing more than unrealistic expectations, and at this point you either try something new, which again will cost money, or you just give up and remain content with your day job.

Fact is, there are ways and means for you to make money online. It just takes much more dedication and work to make it a reality and does not constitute only fifteen minutes of work per day. What you put in is what you will get out. If there were free rides we would all be rich by now.

Making money selling affiliate products using a method known as internet article marketing is a proven method of generating income online. Many have done it before and many more will do it in the future. It requires a structured and planned approach to your marketing efforts and you need to have the right information at your fingertips to succeed.

It does not happen overnight and you will not be filthy rich by the end of the week either, but you could have earned your first thousand dollars online after the first month provided of course you followed the correct methods that have proven to be successful.

Writing articles is not difficult and with a little effort and practice anyone can do it. Many articles are written for informational purposes only and do not require a structured approach. On the other hand when you are writing articles promoting the products you are selling the dynamics of the article changes. There are certain elements that you have to take into consideration before writing the article and it needs to keep the readers attention right to the end. That of course is where your resource box is and the link to the sales page of the affiliate product you are promoting.

Before doing anything the first thing you must do is to make sure which product you are going to promote. You make the decision based on a set of criteria that will ensue that you will not be wasting time.

The next step is to determine the keywords for the product; again this is based on a specific set of criteria. The reason for this is to ensure that your article will appear in the search engine results where your traffic will be generated from.

Once you have these elements in place it is time to write the article. You can just write the article, and generate a few sales if any, or construct your article taking all the little nuances and subtleties into account making the article great and getting the readers to click on your link.
